Whiteroom Myoko Lodge - your home away from home in the Japanese Alps - is available for Weekly Bookings for this upcoming Winter 24/25 season.
This privately owned, self contained and private 3 level residence is located in Myoko Kogen on the main island Honshu Japan. An easy 3 -4 hour train commute from Tokyo via Bullet Train to Nagano and a slow train to Myoko Kogen. There is also a Bus Service that operates from Narita or Haneda Airports direct to the Myoko area.
Myoko Japan has an annual average snowfall of over 18metres and is one of the snowiest places in Japan. With a wide variety of ski resorts all within a 5 - 15 minute drive from the residence you will have so many choices to explore the area in the 7 Seater vehicle provided during your stay.

Comprising of 3 bedrooms spread over the 2 upper levels - Myoko Whiteroom Lodge sleeps 6 comfortably on Futon style beds in Japanese rooms. There is a full bathroom and seperate bath and washroom as well as a washing machine and dryer. The home features a large genken (entryway) and we have a well equiped kitchen to whip up some gyozas or ramen on a night in ! We have a Smart TV, and front sunroom with balcony. The upper bedrooms also have a private balcony with views of Tangram Ski Resort to the East and out to Suginahara Ski Resort to the West. The Basement is the perfect place to store your 7 Seater Van out of the heavy snowfalls overnight and has a full tuning area. There is ample storage for your gear to dry and internal access to the home from the Basement. Snow-clearing shovels for the small driveway area are provided in the basement. On a heavy snowfall you will be required to shovel the driveway to safely get the Vehicle out of the basement garage. This can be done quite quickly (10 minutes)
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
Although we are not located in a Ski-In - Ski - Out Location, we are very central and have views of the Ski Resorts and their lifts from our balcony. We are 3km from the closest resort Kanko and Akakura Onsen which is where the main "tourists" stay.
Myoko Kogen is the local main township and the base area around Myoko Mountain.
There is a train station close by (400m) and a local supermarket (Daichi) and also has the all important 7eleven within an easy 200m of the home. 7eleven is always buzzing after a day on the slopes and an essential stop for Pizza Buns, Asahis and Karage !

All guests assume their own risk associated with travel and no liability for a personal injury occurring whilst in the home or its surrounds.
Vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of Fuel. Vehicle will be required to be full on return

Please ensure the Tank is Full upon Departure or a fee will be charged.
WiFi is NOT INCLUDED.
You can pick up a Mobile Wi-Fi Device (Dongle) at the Airport for a small weekly fee.
Snow Clearing on the private driveway area (4m)
You can easily clear the driveway in about 5/10 mins of shovelling.
The street is cleared daily by snow clearers during the night.
(If this wakes you - or large snowfall falling off the roof dont be alarmed - you are in for an amazing POW DAY !!)

Whiteroom Myoko Lodge is a 35 year old home.
We have recently renovated it to make it more comfortable.
If you are wanting 5 Star Accomodation this home is not for you and its priced accordingly.
If you are wanting an authentic Japanese style home with privacy and the extra added bonus of a vehicle for your stay this is the place for you !
Please note there is a steep staircase in the home and climbing stairs is essential for your stay.
All Heating is with Kerosene Heaters. This is usual practice in Japanese Homes.
If this is your first time in Japan please be mindful of this prior to booking.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand circumstances change.
If you have Paid in Full and need to cancel your booking - please note there is a 50% Cancellation Policy.
If a Cancellation request is received 4 weeks prior to Check in you will receive a 50% Refund on the Full Price Paid.
If Cancellation is less than 4 Weeks Prior to Check In there will be a NO REFUNDS Policy,
